AKUTOKU Butoh Cabaret:
After a sold-out premiere of their new performance at Etcetera Theatre in December 2025, Posthuman Theatre & The London Butoh Dance Company are back to present AKUTOKU, their very first butoh-themed cabaret, coming up in January 2026 at The Divine!
This new format, featuring performances from members of the London Butoh Dance Company and a lineup of guest performers to be announced very soon, explores the intersection of butoh aesthetics with other practices that inspire us as creatives, including lipsync, flamenco, phonetic poetry, clowning & more!
We are delighted to be showcasing the talent of the broader London butoh community in front of an incredibly supportive queer audience, so come along and be part of the fabulously uncanny things we've been up to!
Doors @ 7pm / Show @ 7:30pm / Free club night until 2:30am

iFlash: Anatomy Not Found.exe
iFlesh: Anatomy Not Found.exe plunges you into a world where bodies dissolve into data, memories fracture into code, and identity glitches across the void. In this second part of London Butoh Dance Company’s posthuman trilogy, performers merge flesh and machine, moving through corrupted anatomies and digital echoes in a visceral, immersive spectacle. Guided by the radical physicality of Butoh and the philosophies of posthumanism, the piece transforms the stage into a liminal landscape of fractured selves—haunting, hypnotic, and utterly unforgettable.
December 6th, 2025 at 7pm, Etcetera Theatre, Camden, London
