Jack (he/him) is interested in the stuff that doesn’t belong, in the non-conformist, in the technological and the natural.
A multi-disciplinary, multilingual theatre maker, puppeteer and scout leader, he recently graduated from European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford, where he discovered a passion for growing radishes and the avant-garde. Whilst there, he worked extensively on developing his movement vocabulary, looking at the work of Butoh and Grotowski to produce and subsequently tour “Havnegade” (a tale of brothers in transit) in Denmark, alongside friend and collaborator Jax Heath.
In his work, he seeks to display and elevate the mundane, bringing to attention abnormalities and peculiarities in the human experience, and questioning the notion of belonging. Why? Why not. Perhaps that’s none of your beeswax. Perhaps it is. Perhaps he doesn’t even know why it wouldn’t be. Either way, hopefully it doesn’t matter. If it does, then yes. If not, then when? Maybe we’ll find out over tea.
